Membership in the Executive Committee

What we do
The Executive Committee acts on behalf of the Staff Assembly to achieve it's purposes and objectives. The coordination of such activities include the Fall Faculty & Staff Assembly, University Open House, Homecoming Office Decorating Contest, Silent Auction, University Holiday Celebration, Spring Faculty & Staff Assembly, Vintage Days Kick-Off Breakfast, Staff Assembly Awards Luncheon, and the Faculty & Staff Golf Tournament.
To be eligible for membership on the Executive Committee, staff employees must have attained permanent status at the California State University, Fresno, or be employees of recognized Auxiliary organizations working 50% or more and past their probationary period.
Nominations for members of the Executive Committee shall be employees from the following areas:
• Provost (2)
• Vice President for Student Affairs (2)
• Vice President for Administration (2)
• Vice President for University Advancement (1)
• Presidents Office or Athletics (1)
• Executive Director of Auxiliaries (2)
• Two (2) to six (6) At-Large members from any of the above listed departments*.
* At-Large members may only be selected once the ten (10) positions from the primary departments are filled.
Members can serve as committee officers in the positions of Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, Marketing Director, and Webmaster. Each position is served for a minimum of one (1) year.
Members of the Executive Committee shall serve for terms of two years and are eligible for reappointment by the President for a one-year period, for a maximum three-year consecutive term.
The committee convenes a lunch meeting every other Wednesday for approximately one and a half hours. Additional meetings may be scheduled based on the needs of the staff.
